Benzyl alcohol by Connect Chemicals is a palm oil-free, bacteriostatic preservative. It enables easy handling and prevents the growth of bacteria, yeasts & molds. It is produced naturally by many plants and commonly found in fruits, teas & essential oils. It is used as a solvent due to its polarity, low toxicity, low volatility and compatibility in anionic- non-ionic & cationic formulations. It can also be used as a fragrance in leave-on and rinse-off products. It is safe and effective in formulations up to pH 6.5. It is recommended for fragrances, toiletries, make-up, skin-, sun-, body-, hair-, baby and oral care applications. Benzyl alcohol is Halal certified as well as Ecocert, COSMOS & NATRUE allowed. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
